SomeOne opens Atlas

We're going to rebrand learning solutions company Atlas Interactive

Design group Someone has been appointed to rebrand learning solutions company Atlas Interactive, aiming to help the company reposition itself for the international market with a more ǃÙglobalǃ٠identity.

The consultancy was appointed last week following a three-way strategic pitch in January. It says it beat Navyblue and a joint pitch from Morning and Vermilion.

Head of global marketing for Atlas, Simone Barnett, says, ǃÙWe are looking to work with Someone to reposition and rebrand our offer to a wider international market.ǃÙ

Barnett adds, ǃÙHaving a brand which reflects our increasing geographic reach and increased service offering is an important element of our continued growth strategy.ǃÙ

The project will involve a full rebrand and repositioning of the company, including undertaking thorough research; and creating a new logo and branding to be used across all touchpoints, such as the website, internal communications and marketing materials.

Someone co-founder Gary Holt says, ǃÙWeǃÙre pleased to say theyǃÙre not rebranding because they fancy a new logo – theyǃÙre investigating repositioning themselves.

ǃÙAtlas is already famous for e-learning in the oil and gas industry, so it should be looking to expand that learning to a wider audience and capitalising on its success by looking at how it presents itself.ǃÙ

Someone has already begun work on the project, and will carry out interviews with Atlas stakeholders, staff, customers and users. It will then undertakea full identity and communications review.

Holt says, ǃÙAs itǃÙs an e-learning and interactive brand weǃÙre very keen to present a much more interactive face online – itǃÙs important not just to change the identity, but to create one that reflects the repositioning.ǃÙ

He adds, ǃÙItǃÙs an exciting project because it includes all of our core skills. We now have a digital offer, and it makes more of our user-centred design capabilities, not just strategic brand and identity design.ǃÙ

It is hoped that the new branding will launch this May.
