Changing the way we watch: Yota Play
After a year in the making, Yota Play finally gets a proud unveiling.
SomeOne worked with AllofUs to create a new BrandWorld that works across multiple platforms and multiple content. A true Transmedia branding project.
With over 2,000 hours of BBC material as well as the latest films and TV content from around the world, Yota is radically changing the way people consume film.
Alongside their telecommunications brand — which is blazing a trail bringing 4G to Russia — Yota Play offers online streaming film content via a unique social-media channel that is integrated over the users devices.
YotaPlay marries state of the art technology with intuitive sharing behaviors — in other words it’s really easy to watch what you want — find what you want and share the stuff you love with friends. It’s clever, game changing stuff.
Alongside the development of the Yota Play branding, a new UX design across a plethora of different platform interfaces for this innovative video-on-demand service were developed by AllofUs, that genuinely puts social discovery of content at its core.
The launch starts with the introduction of the Connected TVs & PC/web versions, with new iterations to follow including smart-phones and tablets.
Which all serves to make Yota Play one of those things that is being talked about a lot (but rarely delivered) a truly integrated cross-platform experience.
